The theme of her work
Symphony of the soul
Non-representational painting (also called abstract or non-figurative art) is the ideal language for giving shape to an idea such as a “symphony of the soul”. Because it gives up copying the visible world entirely, you will find no portraits, figures or real objects here.
Instead, the artist works with pure form, line, colour and texture to express what cannot be touched: the human interior, emotions and spirituality.

How abstraction sounds
Synaesthesia
The blending of the senses. Wassily Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstraction, believed in a deep connection between painting and music. For him colours had sounds (yellow rang like a trumpet, deep blue like a cello), and a composition of patches and lines was like a musical score of a person's inner states.
Inner necessity
In non-representational painting the act of creation becomes a direct record of psychic energy. “Symphony” suggests many voices. In a painting they appear as layers of contrasting colours, dynamic brushstrokes, as in action painting, or harmonious, geometric arrangements.
No imposed interpretation
A “symphony of the soul” on a non-representational canvas gives no ready answers. The viewer looks at the arrangement of colour and resonates with it through their own experience, finding their own emotions in the composition, from unease to deep calm.
